System Policies
The system policies displayed in "Resources -> System Policies" are the preset external device control lists in the xSpace system. Due to technical or security reasons, some local peripherals connected to cloud desktop clients need to be prohibited from being passed through to the internal cloud desktop.
1. Core Logic of System Policies
- Nature of Control: All controls in system policies are mandatory policies for USB peripheral port redirection, including forced redirection or forced prohibition of redirection.
- Necessity:
- Prohibited Redirection: Some devices, when redirected to the cloud desktop, may cause incompatibility or stability issues with the operating system, thus requiring mandatory prohibition at the underlying layer.
- Forced Redirection: If some devices are not redirected, it will prevent the desktop business logic from operating normally.
- Management Permissions:
- System Administrator: Has full operational permissions for adding, deleting, and modifying.
- Tenant Administrator: Can only passively view, cannot modify any entries.
- Scope of Application: Default system policies will be applied to all desktop sessions.
2. O&M Recommendations and Precautions
- Maintain Default Configuration: After the management component is installed, the system has preset configurations for common compatibility issues. Unless necessary, system administrators should not arbitrarily adjust them.
- Adjustment Restrictions: Operations such as adding, deleting, or editing should only be performed if an unknown device pass-through leads to system loss of control, unknown anomalies occur, or under the clear guidance of vendor technical support.
- Priority Explanation: As an underlying preset policy, its purpose is to ensure the overall stability of the system.
Note: If you encounter abnormal use of a specific device within the cloud desktop, please first troubleshoot it via "Policy Groups". Unless it is confirmed to be a global driver or compatibility issue, it is not recommended to modify system policies.
